The honk of a goose, miles above;
The first snowflake, slowly falling to the ground;
The first bud of spring;
The scent of dust, stirred by drops of rain;
Slender smoke ascending;
The chatter of a squirrel;
The laughter of a child in the arms of his father;
The the sigh of an infant, asleep in her grandfather's arms;
Eyes locked, in joy or sorrow;
A hug, a salve for the deepest wounds;
Even the quietest word, whispered in comfort;
An apology;
The caress of a dear one;
"I love you;"
Captured in colour, in shapes and lines and shadow.
The simplest things are monumental.
